Cycle (non)stop ~editor’s choice 10

A road leading from the Yomiuri Land Station on the Keio Line in Inagi, Tokyo, to the Giants Stadium is great place for hill climbing for cyclists. Although only about one kilometer long, it has an elevation of 70 meters and many riders use this road to train on.

From the station, there are 364 steps pedestrians can use to reach the stadium, the home field for the Yomiuri Giants farm team. At the top of these steps, which are also used by Giants players for training, there is a monument with an inscribed message written by Giants honorary manager Shigeo Nagashima that reads “Path to the Giants” to welcome fans who have successfully climbed all 364 steps.
