4 years to go until Tokyo Paralympics

The Yomiuri Shimbun A countdown event for the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics was held on Thursday at Citizen’s Plaza in Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo, to mark the four years remaining until the opening of the Paralympics.

About 150 primary school students formed a Paralympic emblem on the floor by rearranging panels from the Olympic emblem. The emblems for both events are made up of 45 indigo blue squares.

“Find athletes who you want to cheer on at the Rio de Janeiro Paralympics, and continue supporting them through the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics,” said Tokyo Gov. Yuriko Koike.Speech
