Kim Jong Nam’s son ID’s body, ROK media report

By Munenori Inoue / Yomiuri Shimbun Correspondent SEOUL — Information is circulating that the son of Kim Jong Nam, the half brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, arrived at Kuala Lumpur International Airport on Monday night to identify his father’s body after his murder last week.

South Korea’s TV network, MBC, reported Tuesday that Kim Han Sol visited the hospital in the Malaysian capital, where the body is currently located, in the early morning of the same day.

It was reported that a special force was deployed around the hospital to provide security, and Kim Han Sol is said to have entered the hospital disguised as a member of the force with his face covered. According to MBC, he left after staying for about an hour to confirm the identity of the body.

Malaysian police have made it clear that Kim Jong Nam’s next-of-kin have priority in claiming the body, saying they would not hand over the body without his family identifying it and conducting DNA testing. The body, therefore, will likely be released to Kim Han Sol. Speech
