The Yomiuri ShimbunA video released by Tokyo’s Ueno Zoo on Oct. 21 shows the female giant panda cub Xiang Xiang, born 130 days ago at the zoo, growing more curious of her surroundings. She inquisitively leans her face closer to the camera when a zookeeper points it toward her.
According to the zoo, Xiang Xiang weighed 8.6 kilograms and was 74.2 centimeters long on Oct. 20, her 130th day. She now roams freely inside an indoor cage, sometimes climbing on her mother, Shin Shin, to play on her chest.
An official at the zoo said their parent-child bond has grown stronger. [Released on October 23, 2017]
