[Movie] Aquatic art show begins at Kyoto’s Nijojo castle

The Yomiuri ShimbunAn art show featuring bowls filled with goldfish started at Kyoto’s Nijojo castle on Wednesday. Titled “Art Aquarium Castle: Kyoto, Dance of Kingyo,” the exhibition showcases goldfish and other varieties swimming in illuminated glass containers, with sound effects enhancing the atmosphere. Other exhibits marking the 150th anniversary of the restoration of Imperial rule are also on display. The event will be held at Nijojo, a UNESCO World Heritage site, through Dec. 11. Actress and event ambassador Aya Ueto discussed the exhibition’s highlights at the opening ceremony. [Released on October 26, 2017]
