The Japan NewsYokozuna Hakuho dominated No. 1 maegashira Takakeisho on Day 3 at the Kyushu Grand Sumo Tournament on Tuesday.

Hakuho powered the maegashira (1-2) down to the surface quickly after the jump-off to head a group of six wrestlers with perfect records at Fukuoka Kokusai Center.

Ozeki Takayasu, who needs at least eight wins to maintain his rank, was on the verge of tumbling out the ring, but managed to keep his balance just as opponent komusubi Onosho (1-2) was losing his. The result left Takayasu standing at 3-0.

Ozeki Goeido (3-0) had little trouble beating No. 2 maegashira Tochiozan (0-3), while No. 13 maegashira Aminishiki, No. 4 maegashira Ichinojo and No. 5 maegashira Arawashi also won to keep their records perfect.

Yokozuna Kisenosato, who has been in and out of parts of the previous three tournaments, forced out No. 2 maegashira Chiyotairyu to remain at one loss.

No. 1 maegashira Tamawashi (2-1) picked up a win by forfeit in his match against yokozuna Harumafuji, who pulled out of the basho.Speech
