Jiji Press NEW YORK (Jiji Press) — Japanese synthesizer player Kitaro has been nominated for Best New Age Album at the 60th Grammy Awards, it was announced Tuesday.
Kitaro received the nomination for his album “Sacred Journey Of Ku-Kai, Volume 5.”
He has been nominated 16 times for Grammy Awards. He won the Best New Age Album award in 2001.
U.S. rapper Jay-Z leads the race for the prestigious U.S. music awards, with nominations in eight categories, including Record of The Year. Kendrick Lamar, another U.S. rapper, was nominated in seven categories and American singer Bruno Mars in six.
