Abe conveys concern to Moon over N. Korea aid

Jiji Press TOKYO (Jiji Press) — Prime Minister Shinzo Abe informed South Korean President Moon Jae In of his concern about Seoul’s planned humanitarian aid to North Korea during their telephone talks on Wednesday, a Japanese government source revealed on Friday.

Moon only replied that his government will consider the timing of providing the aid, according to the source.

The South Korean government decided in September to provide $8 million worth of humanitarian aid to North Korea, including drugs and nutritional foods.

Abe has since warned that the South Korean move could jeopardize trilateral cooperation among the two Asian nations and the United States in responding to Pyongyang’s nuclear and missile programs.Speech
