[Movie] There be drift ice here

The Yomiuri Shimbun The Abashiri Local Meteorological Office in Hokkaido announced on Jan. 28 that drift ice on the sea had been observed from land with the naked eye for the first time this season. The first sighting was three days earlier than last year, and seven days later than the average. The Aurora, a drift ice sightseeing and icebreaker ship based in Abashiri, started this season’s service on Jan. 20. However, the ship’s first excursion amid drift ice in the ocean off Abashiri was on Jan. 28, as the drift ice was confirmed to be approaching. [Released on January 29, 2018]
