Chikueidou is a veteran workshop and store that has a history of over 200 years, and this Ginkyo is a product of much trial and error. Veteran artisans use an assortment of files from rough to fine, changing them as they polish the metal to a beautiful mirror surface.
The rear surface has a traditional bamboo craft pattern with red lacquer. This product, with a soft reflection only possible from silver, can be taken along as a portable hand mirror in the included leather pouch.
Taking this silver mirror out of the bag to fix makeup and see its unique light is sure to make you feel more elegant. From ancient times, Japan has had a culture of using mirrors as amulets to drive back evil spirits. Why not give this tradition as a gift?
Price: ¥38,888 per mirror
