The Yomiuri ShimbunA whale shark swims along with sardines, mackerels, rays and other fish in the Yokohama Hakkeijima Sea Paradise in Yokohama on Thursday. The about 4.5-meter-long male shark strayed into a fixed fishing net off Tateyama, Chiba Prefecture, in late August and was transferred to the aquarium’s 8-meter-tall tank for display. The world’s largest fish can grow up to 12 meters long or more, and this shark will be released back into the sea when it grows to over 5.5 meters long.Speech
