Jiji Press TOKYO (Jiji Press) — Famed travel journalist Kaoru Kanetaka, known for a television program featuring her trips around the world, died of heart failure at her home in Tokyo on Saturday. She was 90.
Kanetaka, who was born in Kobe, studied in the United States after graduating from St. Hilda’s School, a girls’ school in Tokyo.
After returning from the United States, Kanetaka started her career as a travel writer.
