Dentsu buys foreign digital service biz

Jiji Press TOKYO (Jiji Press) — Advertising giant Dentsu Inc. on Thursday announced the acquisition of a Vietnamese digital ad company and a New Zealand digital technology consulting service business.

Dentsu’s global headquarters, Dentsu Aegis Network Ltd., reached an agreement to take a 100 percent stake in Ho Chi Minh City-based Ambient Digital Advertising Service Co.

The Japanese group aims to expand its digital services, such as search engine advertising in Vietnam.

Dentsu Aegis, based in London, also agreed to acquire a 100 percent stake in Davanti Consulting Ltd. of Auckland.

The deal is expected to strengthen the group’s business to help clients introduce cloud computing services.Speech
