The Yomiuri Shimbun The processing and assembling of steel sheets to make wood stoves is in progress to prepare for the winter in Hakodate, Hokkaido. Ten craftspeople at steel processing company Yamato Kinozoku beat sheets of steel that are 0.6 millimeters thin and have been cut into shapes corresponding to each part of the stove, in a still hot and humid factory. One hundred and twenty stoves per day are shipped to locations around Hokkaido as well as to the Tohoku and Hokuriku regions. Manufacturing will continue until the end of November.Speech
