South Korea holds military drill around Takeshima

By Yujiro Okabe / Yomiuri Shimbun CorrespondentSEOUL — The South Korean military began a military exercise on Sunday morning near the Takeshima islands of Shimane Prefecture — which South Korea is illegally occupying and calls them Dokdo — according to Yonhap News Agency. The South Korean Army, Navy and Air Force as well as maritime police are being mobilized through Monday for the exercise.

This move is possibly, in effect, a countermeasure against stricter export controls on South Korea by the Japanese government.Speech
